This is a unique opportunity to undertake a senior tax role for a division of a highly regarded global banking group with additional regional responsibilities for the wider group
The Role:
• Provide senior support on UK ad international tax issues arising in the division
• Play a key role in developing and delivering tax strategy
• Work closely with tax colleagues and key stakeholders in the business to manage risk and resolve tax issues
• Take specific responsibility for the African operations of the group from a tax perspective building effective relationships with local country management
• Tax advisory including international structuring, M&A, Product sign off
The Person:
You will be an accomplished tax professional with a strong knowledge of UK and international tax gained in an advisory firm with time spent in-house. It is likely that the successful candidate will also have been exposed to the following:
• Experience of working in a large corporate organization
• Excellent stakeholder management skills
• Able to distil complex tax analysis to facilitate business decision making
• IFRS reporting experience
• Willing to travel
You will be a motivated and ambitious individual with a track record of working autonomously.
Qualifications:
You will likely be a qualified accountant with a strong commercial perspective.
