An opportunity has now arisen for an Assistant Group Tax Manager to join the tax team and report directly to the Head of Tax and current Group Tax Manager. Main duties and responsibilities will encompass an exciting and challenging mix of corporate tax planning and compliance as outlined below:
-Providing tax support on UK and offshore business development opportunities and corporate transactions
-Providing tax advice to business units on key strategic decision-making and product development
-Providing updates to various global and UK business units in respect of legislative changes
-Preparation of UK corporate tax returns
-Maintaining oversight and control of tax compliance in respect of international group entities
-Preparing company tax provisions and tax disclosures
-Managing tax accounts for group entities
-Working with executive directors, senior managers, external advisors and revenue authorities across the global business
-Ensuring transfer pricing policies are tax efficient and maintaining documentation and procedures in support of those policies
The successful candidate will be ACA or CTA qualified with post qualification experience and a sound understanding of the financial services industry, fund management as a specialism would be a significant advantage.
