AN EXCELLENT OPPORTUNITY WITH A HUGELY EXPANDING FINANCIAL SERVICES FIRM
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, the Tax Manager will provide tax accounting and reporting for internal and external requirements. In additional provide relevant taxation planning and advice for the group. There is flexibility in this role, up to 5 days a week.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Preparation and submission of all local tax returns and tax related statistical returns to include VAT and IPT
Monitor and follow up tax payments/refunds
Maintain tax master data in the financial systems to ensure it is up to date
Identify potential tax risks and take mitigating action.
Support the provision of tax advice to the business
Provide support for tax audits
A regular assessment of the effectiveness of tax controls within the business.
Assists with staff technical training and development
Identifies and evaluates risk management issues.
Knowledge of International Tax including Group structures
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Strong problem solving, analytical and numerical skills to rapidly develop insights and conclusions to complex arguments, and strong presentation skills to clearly communicate recommendations.
Qualified Accountant
Ideally tax a qualification
Experience in local tax legislation
Experience in international tax
A minimum of 5 years experience
A good understanding of the financial services market.
Strong commercial focus.
Results driven and able to work to tight deadlines.
Ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
