An excellent opportunity to join a large multinational company in Leeds, working as part of a global VAT team.
Working with various businesses both within the UK and internationally, this position is a project based role ensuring VAT compliance and processes are constantly improved to first class standards. The role will involve:
* Work with local VAT teams to ensure consistency of approach and service to businesses where projects impact on current and future working practices.
* Compliance and process improvement projects for businesses as required
* Plan, organise and monitor continuous improvement and compliance initiatives for VAT services
* Develop project plans to facilitate implementation of improvement plans
* Drive through the successful delivery of assigned projects and initiatives, including the management of associated budgets
* Manage activities of project resources to support and deliver solutions relating to the projects
* Identify metrics to meet the needs to the company's compliance initiatives and co-ordinate delivery across all countries as required
* Work with the VAT systems team to simplify and improve current platforms and reporting processes globally.
This role would suit a highly technical VAT specialist who is able to work autonomously in a fast paced and dynamic environment. Ideally you will have gained experience in industry but those looking to make their first move in-house will also be considered. The position will involve regular overseas travel and flexibility surrounding this is essential.
