This International oil and gas company are looking to strengthen their indirect tax team within the International area the company are looking for people that have experience or the mindset for dealing with indirect tax systems within the international environment.
They are now looking for an indirect specialist to be based in the London office reporting to the Head of Indirect Tax International. This role will suit a motivated person who wants to expand their knowledge of indirect taxes beyond their local country expertise.
The indirect tax team currently consists of around 35 indirect tax professionals and lawyers. The team has four sub-teams. The sub-teams have responsibilities for providing indirect tax advice, coordination of indirect tax liabilities and reporting with separate teams from Norway, EU, the International area and an Infrastructure team dealing with indirect tax system set up and project support.
Responsibilities include:
· Proactively advise and assist business areas on international indirect tax matters including
Customs & Excise matters
· Update the organisation about new legislation and provide training as required
· Design and implement indirect tax routines to ensure correct international indirect tax treatments
· Support the business in specific international projects
· Coordinate contacts with indirect tax authorities and external advisers
· Optimise indirect tax cash flow
· Support the organisation in handling indirect tax risks
· Liaise with all sub-team members of Indirect Tax and members of the Indirect Tax team
You will have:
· Professional accounting or tax qualification.
· Experience from working with indirect taxes either locally or preferably internationally in the oil
and gas industry, tax authorities, an accounting/auditing company (big 4 or others) or a law
company
