Our client is a multinational energy sector company, operating in over 20 countries. They now seek a senior tax planning professional to act in a lead project role, based within their Regional HQ in London. Reporting to a EMEA Head of Tax, and working closely with the transaction team, key aspects of this role are providing international tax advice on acquisition / M&A structures, consideration of US and local country tax issues, analysis of economic / tax models for ventures in new territories, and liaising with local country tax advisers on projects. The role will also provide ad-hoc tax advice to the business operating in other specific countries, including Norway, Russia and Luxembourg. This is a great role for an EMEA-international tax adviser looking to work in a pure tax planning / transactions based role. You will have trained in the corporate tax division of a Big 4 firm, and progressed to Senior Manager level in a client-facing tax planning / transactions role. Alternatively, you have already made the move in-house with an international group, now looking for the next step up. In addition, you will have an outgoing personality, strong project management skills, and be able to highlight key tax issues in an understandable way with senior finance/business colleagues. Experience in the Energy / Oil / Gas sector would be an advantage, but not essential.
