This bank is performing well in the current climate and looking for a high calibre Tax Manager to join the tax team to cover a long term maternity cover. This role will be to start early 2012.
The role
*Preparation and review of tax computations and corresponding with tax authorities
*Preparation and review of tax figures for statutory and internal deadlines
*Liaison with external auditors at quarter ends and year ends
*Providing technical research and assistance on corporation tax compliance matters and ad hoc planning issues
*Assisting and providing support to the Head of Tax
*Quantifying tax payments, repayments, and interest and group relief
*Ad hoc Transfer Pricing work
About you
To carry out this role effectively, you should have the following skills:
*Tax or accounting qualification
*Knowledge of key IFRS banking standards and their relevant tax effects are an advantage including pensions, share based payments and hedging
*Good computer skills , ideally familiar with Alphatax
*Good team working skills
*Good communication skills
