A Real Estate VAT Specialist is required for a top-tier Investment Manager based in the City of London. The VAT specialist will work within the firms tax function with primary client responsibility for the provision of high quality real estate VAT advisory and compliance services to the group's real estate fund and asset manager business unit, associated funds under management and associated entities as required. Key responsibilities will be to effectively manage the VAT return compliance cycle for the business unit and provide VAT input into major property transactions working with third party tax professionals. You will effectively support the Group VAT Manager on any identified issues arising, the means of resolving these, timescales involved and the relevant stakeholders who need to be notified.
The CTA is preferred for this role, but is not essential. Extensive prior VAT and property experience is required. Preference will be given to candidates with solid "Big 4" experience, with previous commercial experience preferred.
