This is a rare opportunity; an interesting and challenging role in this highly sought after location. Our client, a top 30 firm with a prominent position in the northern marketplace, has an opening for an ATT or CTA qualified consultant. The role is purely advisory and focuses on providing first class advice to the firmВ’s diverse client base of private clients and OMBВ’s. Therefore you will need good all round tax skills, ideally with a private client bias, although candidates with corporate tax knowledge will also be considered. You will work alongside other tax consultants and will also work closely with the partners on exciting planning projects, and will need strong communication skills as this is a client facing role. This is an excellent role either for someone looking to make a first move into a more advisory focused role (to enhance your knowledge and get exposure to high calibre work) or for an experienced consultant looking to join a major player locally.

Our newest recruit, Ian Riley, joined Longman Tax Recruitment in October 2011 directly from a Big Four firm based in Manchester, where he was an M & A Tax Manager having trained as a chartered accountant and spent over six years with the firm. He specialises in advising candidates at all levels up to and including Senior Manager and deals with clients across the North of England. Ian is very well connected in the local market place and is able to offer candidates pro active career advice and insight. Joanna Longman is a VAT specialist and was previously Regional Head of VAT at one of the Big 4 firms before becoming VAT Director of a large local practice in the North West. She has been an active member of various chapters of the VAT Practitioners Group.
