Our client seeks an experienced tax professional who is equally able to deal with HNW individuals and understand the corporate tax related to their family businesses. Strong business development skills a necessity. You will need:
Experience of dealing with corporation tax, especially in respect of issues relating to owner managed businesses.
Knowledge of income and employee tax issues, treatment of trading income, capital gains tax and inheritance to ACA qualified level, or equivalent.
Experience of preparing complex capital gains tax computations on shares, property and other assets, including knowledge of CGT relief such as EIS deferral relief and substantial share holding exemption.
Knowledge of trusts and succession and IHT Planning
Partnerships - knowledge desirable of traditional professional partnership structures and issues as well as of the rules applicable to LLPs.
Knowledge of the self assessment system
Familiarity with the rules governing domicile and residence
Share Reward - candidates should be familiar with the basic tax charges and occasions of charge.
Knowledge of the operation of share schemes and company law in relation to share schemes is desirable.
