An opportunity to join the tax team of this global hospitality company based in its UK headquarters. The organisation has over 135,000 employees with operations in 84 countries, making it one of the largest privately owned companies in the US.
The position will assist the Senior Manager in performing the US GAAP accounting of foreign taxes, supporting the US tax return process and supporting tax planning projects and initiatives with respect to the UK, Europe, Africa and the Middle East regions.
Requirements:
* ACA/CTA qualified or equivalent;
* Good experience in US GAAP tax reporting for major listed US multinationals either gained in industry or practice;
* Excellent technical, analytical and written/verbal communication skills;
* In depth understanding of US GAAP rules with respect to accounting for income taxes, the ability to interpret the company's books and records and transactional accounting;
* A good understanding of the Internal Revenue Code and a demonstrable ability to apply the appropriate rules and regulations to the company's US GAAP financials; and
* A good understanding of PeopleSoft and Hyperion would be beneficial although not essential.
