As a pivotal senior member of the Group Tax team supporting the Group Tax DirectorВ you will assist with theВ setting and implementing the Group's Tax Strategy. Key to the position is the need to Identify and promote initiatives to manage the Group's tax risks whilst continuing to support the active realisation of tax opportunities.
A full and broad remit awaits the successfulВ applicant who must be able to demonstrate expertise in understanding and consulting on tax legislation & practice, monitoring provisions for tax exposures within IFRS & EV, contributing to the assessment of ICA budgets and taking a lead role in the Group's Solvency II initiatives.
As a highly seasoned Tax Professional, you will preferably be ACA and CTA qualified or equivalent, with strong, in depth and up to date life tax skills. You will need a comprehensive understanding of UK GAAP and IFRS as well as the actuarial implications of tax numbers included in accounts and actuarial valuations.
Your communication style will be characterised by the ability to relate to others in a confident and relaxed manner to maximise personal effectiveness at all levels of the organisation.
