Global energy business offers an excellent long term contract role to assist with the implementation of various VAT projects
An opportunity exists for a full time project assistant on a fixed term contract basis to work with both the Tax Manager and VAT accountant with the implementation of various tax related projects currently in development.
This role would suit a person with good experience in International VAT, primarily in relation to goods but also services. A knowledge of Customs Duty rules as well and a sound knowledge of accounting systems in terms of International VAT reporting is also required. A basic understanding of UK Corporation Tax would be beneficial but is not essential for this role as training and support will be provided.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
? Assist Tax Team in the project management process by collecting, collating and producing records, documentation and reports needed during the project development and implementation stages:
Projects and anticipated implementation dates
* Implement tax requirements into new Accounting and Treasury System
* Replacement of Oil Trading System , tax considerations
* Assist Oil Division Tax Teams in London, Singapore and Stamford regarding necessary short term system enhancements required to optimise Tax Reporting
? Administrative support to the Tax Team in relation to the various projects under development.
? Interact with other teams where necessary to collate and document the preparation of any information required by the tax team.
