A fantastic opportunity to join this dynamic household name as part of their in-house VAT Operations team. As the VAT Operations Specialist for the UK your role will be responsible for:
* Delivering VAT Reporting and related services to UK VAT registered businesses
* Maintenance of all legal entities on the VAT Reporting Tool including consolidation & submission to HMRC.
* Responsibility for the settlement of VAT liabilities to/from HMRC .
* Carry out specific control checks, including audit of VAT account reconciliations and other back-up documentation, ensuring that the appropriate VAT return data is filed on-line and anomalies are questioned and VAT risks are controlled .
* Carrying out validation exercises to confirm accuracy and completeness of information used in VAT, ECSL and Intrastat filings.
* Using VAT Tools and applications to identify business risks and opportunities - evaluate with Business VAT Managers to agree action plans as necessary.
* Training various finance teams on the use of the on-line tools and assisting with the implementation of new VAT return preparation and review procedures.
* Tracking and communicating with client businesses progress against agreed performance targets .
* Ensuring that all e-compliance obligations are maintained and updated.
* Supporting other team members.
